Trims and Editions
The 2023 Mazda CX-5 has seven available trims:
- 2.5 S
- 2.5 S Select
- 2.5 S Preferred

- 2.5 Turbo
- 2.5 Turbo Signature
Except for the Turbo and Turbo Signature trims, all models contain a 2.5-liter SKYACTIV®-G engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-feet of torque. This engine pairs with a six-speed, automatic transmission. All trims utilize all-wheel drive.
The Turbo and Turbo Signature trims have a turbocharged, 2.5-liter engine with 227 horsepower and 310 lb-feet of torque when fueled by regular 87-octane. Its output rises to 256 horsepower and 320 lb-feet of torque using premium 93-octane.
The 2023 Mazda CX-5 2.5 S Carbon Edition contains the same features as the Preferred trim but adds exclusive styling such as a black exterior, black rims, and red trim inside the cabin.
Technology and Convenience
All trims utilize a 10.25-inch infotainment display and a seven-inch LCD Meter Display. Certain trim levels feature technology and convenience upgrades, such as:
- 2.5 S Select: Advanced Keyless Entry
- 2.5 S Preferred: Heated front seats with three temperature settings
- 2.5 S Premium: Mazda Intelligent Drive Select
- 2.5S Premium Plus: Heated rear seats
- 2.5 Turbo: Carbon Edition interior
- 2.5 Turbo Signature: Three-year subscription to SiriusXM® Traffic and Travel Link
Safety
The basic model has a long list of standard features:
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
- Rear cross-traffic detection
- Rearview camera
The most notable additions to the safety suite are in the 2.5 Turbo Signature trim. It is the only trim to include a 360-degree monitor and front and rear parking sensors. It is also equipped with Traffic Jam Assist, which automatically maintains a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
